The Culture Cities Triathlon is about raising awareness and
celebrating the European Capital of Culture cities between 2005 — 2008. In doing
so we are also keen to raise a substantial amount of money for charity
(Claire House)
The triathlon, as you know, is based upon three elements
cycling, swimming and running, and is run over various distances. As there are
three different Capital of Culture cities before Liverpool 2008, we thought it
would be a great idea to separate the triathlon into three separate events in
2005, 2006 and 2007.
Our first event took place in Cork during 2005,

Are you fit and up for a challenge? Then
come and join us in what will be a challenging but highly
rewarding event. It is not compulsory to do all three events
but obviously we would like to have some team members who
can commit for all three years. Although a good level of
fitness is important you do not have to be super fit. A big
heart and bags of enthusiasm are just as important.

Obviously there are ample opportunities
to give money to charity, so why donate to ours? Firstly,
the charity Claire House could not be a more worthy choice.
Secondly, we are committing a substantial amount of time,
hard work and effort to make this event a success and are
prepared to push our bodies to the limit to help some very
special children and their families.
